This is a year when a single small boat floats on an endlessly wide blue sea. You may feel lost, as if you've set out into the wide world alone, but a small boat can still cross the sea. The place to turn and look is not close to home but far away, so you'll find benefit in distant places and the world outside. Though you seem to see far from atop a high tower, drifting clouds hide the road, so if you trust only what you can see and hurry, you'll easily lose your way. As the verse says to ask at the three-way fork, don't decide all at once — ask and look around many times, and don't refuse a roundabout route. In the first half, be careful of family worries, scattering money, and disputes, but from summer benefit arises in distant places and in the ninth lunar month money comes in as you wish. Keep in mind the saying that fullness invites harm while humility brings gain, and even a small boat will reach the far shore safely.

Who gets this hexagram?
The hexagram depends on your lunar birth date and the year being read. The upper number comes from your Korean age that year plus the year's taese number, the middle from the length and month number of your birth month that year, and the lower from your birth day plus the day number. So the same person gets a different hexagram each year.
