The year ahead
Things last longer when you do them together than alone. Like a heavy rain at the end of a heat wave, your frustration clears all at once. A traveler on a long journey makes a name, so challenges in unfamiliar places see the light.
Just as a house built by ten people pooling their strength stands for a long time, this is a year when things last when you do them together. Rather than trying to do it all yourself, join hands with like-minded people and your results will be solid. As the verse says, energies join, spring returns, and at last the new is born — matters you'd set aside meet their time and take shape. Like a great rain pouring onto a pavilion on a sweltering day, there will also be moments when things that frustrated you for a long time clear up all at once. A lonely traveler on a far road makes a name, so taking on challenges in unfamiliar places or new fields will see the light. In the seventh, ninth, and eleventh lunar months, benefactors, honor, and great results come together. In the fourth and fifth lunar months, though, be careful of disputes and craving others' money, and in the twelfth lunar month don't rush into land or big deals. Keep the spirit of working together and what you build this year will remain for a long time.

Who gets this hexagram?
The hexagram depends on your lunar birth date and the year being read. The upper number comes from your Korean age that year plus the year's taese number, the middle from the length and month number of your birth month that year, and the lower from your birth day plus the day number. So the same person gets a different hexagram each year.
By the formula, nobody receives this hexagram in 2027. Lunar month lengths and cycles change each year, so it does turn up in other years. For example, someone born on lunar 6/4/1989 receives this hexagram in 2028.
