Even with the weariness of wandering north and south, you'll end up laughing heartily. Welcome news arrives, like swallows returning from the south. Even when lonely, keep your integrity and your heart will grow full like the round autumn moon.
This is a year when a single pine tree stands firm all alone in a deep, snow-covered valley. Even if your surroundings are cold and few people recognize you, if you don't bend your will, that very image becomes a light. As the verse says, even with the weariness of wandering north and south, you'll end up clapping hands and laughing heartily — a welcome ending awaits after hardship. A swallow flying in from the south and entering the room means welcome news and people come to your home. The verse about growing tipsy among the flowers under a round autumn moon speaks of plentiful joy, but too much intoxication brings loss, so moderation is needed. In the second and fifth lunar months, benefactors appear to open blocked paths, and in the twelfth lunar month you'll send off the old, welcome the new, and feel at ease. In the first, fourth, sixth, and eighth lunar months, though, don't force things — pass through with care. This year's laughter returns to those who keep their integrity even when lonely.
