The year ahead

The fourth verse's phoenix perched in the paulownia yet harboring an old illness is a request to tend to the fatigue and worries hidden behind outward splendor. In spring, financial losses and quarrels overlap, so don't quarrel with others and postpone long trips. From early summer on, abundance and official recognition come to those who hide their light and protect themselves. It's an unlucky reading, but if you guard your mouth and look after your body, spring light returns by year's end.

Who gets this hexagram?
The hexagram depends on your lunar birth date and the year being read. The upper number comes from your Korean age that year plus the year's taese number, the middle from the length and month number of your birth month that year, and the lower from your birth day plus the day number. So the same person gets a different hexagram each year.
