The year ahead
This is a frustrating year when fruit comes late despite your efforts. Like hesitating to catch a mouse for fear of breaking a dish, acting rashly will only cause losses. Don't lament being cold and hungry. In the end, the way will open.

The three-year drought of the first verse means the bewilderment of a sweet rain that won't come no matter how long you wait, so don't rush to count results. The second verse's image of hesitating to catch the rat for fear of breaking the dishes is the predicament of fearing to break something bigger while fixing a small problem, meaning choose your method rather than touching things rashly. The upside-down mountain shadow and crying white bones of the third verse depict illusions where outside and inside look reversed, and sorrow over past events. The fourth verse clearly says not to lament being cold and hungry, for things will go well in the end. In spring there's hardship and unease, and in early summer there are rough spots on the road ahead, so avoid overambitious travel and big desires. As autumn arrives, good luck approaches and things gradually go well, and in late autumn there's the joy of achieving both name and profit. At year's end, like Yuan An lying high on a snowy day, those who kept their integrity meet their moment, so don't miss it.
